Dr. David Simonsen

Dr. David Simonsen goes by many names: honey, daddy, son, brother, counselor, and even Doc David. Just like many of you, he wears multiple hats in his life. Some days he handles them with grace, while on others, he stumbles. One constant across all his roles is his knack for creativity and problem-solving. Whether it's devising unique ways to connect with his wife, planning unforgettable vacations for his family, or assisting couples and families in discovering new paths of communication or creativity; it is experience that is at the heart of what he does. With 20 years of experience in his practice, he has dedicated himself to helping families, teenagers, and couples navigate life's challenges. Sarah Wagner
LMFT
While Sarah (she/her) grew up in a military family, Olympia has been home for most of her life, resulting in a deep deep love for Mount Rainier and all things PNW related. Sarah has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Human Development (Arizona State University, 2018) and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (Pacific Lutheran University, 2021).
Believing that relationship is the core of human experience, Sarah’s work focuses on folks (18+) reshaping how they connect and interact-with others and themselves. So sometimes it’s with couples, working through patterns or events that have created disconnection and a breakdown of their partnership. Other times, it’s supporting individuals in reconnecting with themselves so they can create the life they want.
Sarah tends to work with clients navigating life with ADHD or those connected to the military community. Her approach to therapy is grounded in our knowledge of human functioning-emotionally, relationally, neurologically, and the understanding that our society and experiences shape us. This foundation will help us hold onto the empathy and curiosity required to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and build practical tools to understand your past, move through your present, and work towards a more connected future.
